Interview With Ms Dianne

I think if I could choose my topic again, I would choose a different topic. It turns out that my topic is not that interesting as I thought it would be. I would choose an easier topic because I had a personal project to finish  too. I don’t mean that my ESL project is not important, but it’s wasn't easy for me to manage my time efficiently. I would choose a more exciting topic like cooking or something I am familiar with. I would re-do the oral assignment because I lost my video that I made and so it was the deadline. I have to make something to get a mark, so I decided to make a recording because it’s faster and due to the projects and personal project exhibition that I had to prepare for it’s so much faster to make. So, if I could re-do the oral assignment, it would be better. The topic is harder than I expected it to be. I though it’s just comparing  photographs but it turns out that there are a lot of things that I didn’t know about photography. Therefore, I should have chosen an easier topic to work on that required less research and planning.

I will prepare these questions for my interview on Friday by firstly, writing them on cue cards and secondly practice in front of the mirror and finally I will record myself using photobooth in practice for the interview. My predicted grade is 7.

Reflection on Bloom’s Project

Knowledge

What you have learnt about?
How photographs are affected by the weather

What have you learnt about how you learn?
I started an Internet search on how to take a photograph in different weathers. I used one article and it said that to take a good weather photographs, we can use either a professional camera or just a normal digital camera. We don’t need expensive equipment. To take good photographs, we need to do a lot of practice. Then, I looked back to the photographs I took and analyze it how the weather affected the photographs.

How do different weathers affect a photograph?

I found that I am a visual learner and the print is more interesting when there is pictures cues that help me understand what I am reading

Comprehension
How can I analyze the photographs that are affected by weather?

I will form some questions related to photograph and weather

Application
I collected photographs I took before and posted it on my edublog. Then, from 30 photographs, I chose 6 photographs only to analyze.

Reflection On Weeks 1-5

During the past 5 weeks I have created 2 tasks on my topic photography and the environment

First I researched using the net and found an article that provided background information to help my understanding of the issues related to environment and also photography

With this information I created a summary on the topic and posted this on my blog page. This helped my understanding and provided me with more information to move to the next stage on the blooms

During the "comprehension" stage, I created my second task, posting photographs to my blog to show the audience my understanding of the topic. We were asked to record our summaries as a video and embed the file into out blog page to demonstrate our oral language skills and ability to master intonation and expression. I found this difficult to do at first but Bibil was able to assist us and I was pleased with the final product

Now I am preparing for the next stage of Blooms "Application" and I'm deciding how I will design my next task that could include: an interview, a simulation, a presentation using IT tools and illustration.

It's time for me now to plan my next task so please check my blog on Friday and post a comment

The Chosen Photographs

The first photo I took when I was walking with my dogs. It was around 4 and 5pm.
It was almost raining and there was a lot of wind. The photograph shows that the clouds are almost covering the sun.

The photograph shows how the sunset can add colors to the sky and make it beautiful

The photograph shows that the fog makes the photo blurry and unclear

The photographs shows how the afternoon sun make the reflection of the buildings
The photograph shows how the wind can add depth to the photograph as the trees sway in the wind creating a chilly atmosphere supported by the black and white frame.
